Simon Fairfield Public Library Borrowing Policy |
- Any Massachusetts resident is eligible to obtain a library card at the Simon Fairfield Public Library. Library cards are free of charge.

- If a person does not have proof of address, they must present a form of identification. The library will then mail a postcard to the applicant and when this post card is returned, the person will be issued a card.
- For children, a parent or guardian must be present to present a form of identification.
- Replacement cards are $2.00.
- A valid card must be presented each time the patron wants to check out items or pay fines.
- The Simon Fairfield Public Library is a circulating member of CWMARS and as such, follows all borrowing and fine policies of CWMARS.

Public Internet Computer Procedures |
- The children's room computer is generally reserved for children 12 and under. Young adults 13 and over and adults have preference for the adult room computer. All reasonable efforts should be made to give the appropriate computer to respective age groups. Children may use the adult room computer if it is vacant and the other computer is in use. However, only one child at a time may use that computer. Having friends or siblings congregate around the adult computer is not permitted. Adults may use the children's computer if the adult computer is in use.
- Patrons may use the computers on a first-come; first-served basis. Patrons will be limited to 30 minutes of use when other people are waiting to use the computers. If there is no one waiting, a patron may use the computer for as long as they wish. If someone comes in to use the computers and the user has already exceeded 30 minutes of use, they will be given a 10 minute ''warning'' that someone is waiting and they need to finish. If they have not exceeded their 30 minutes, they will be given a "warning" consisting of the remaining time to reach their 30 minutes.
- Once a patron has used their 30 minute allotment for the day, they will not be permitted to "bump" anyone else who uses the computer after them. They will be allowed to go back onto the computer should it become vacant, however if a new user comes in to use the computer, the person will be given a 10 minute "warning" regardless of how long they have been on and the new person will get preference.
- Computers will be closed 15 minutes prior to closing each day. Users will be given a.10 minute warning and will not be allowed to stay on the computer beyond that ...
